When we imagine what Robin Hood looks like what come to mind? My earliest image was watching The Adventures of Robin Hood, the 1938 movie starring the swashbuckling Errol Flynn as Robin. He looked very dashing in his forest green tunic, breeches, long boots and not forgetting the fetching hat with the feather.
More recently there was Kevin Costner’s portrayal in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). Robin looked a little rougher than Errol Flynn, wearing a brown tunic, pants and boots and doing away with the hat.
Whichever version of Robin Hood you prefer, he always has his trusty bow and arrows to hand.
